Air Force publishes eligibility for AFCAT to find the best individual for technical and non-technical branches. The AFCAT exam is held two times a year. AFCAT details 2024 have already been released on 18 November 2023.

What is AFCAT Exam?

The applicant must be an Indian national.

AFCAT Marital Status

  • Candidate must be unmarried and must be below the age of 25. Females who are divorcees and widows under the age of 25 are not eligible.

  • A candidate is not allowed to marry during the training period, if he/she does, he/she will be expelled from his services and will refund all the expenditure incurred on him by the government.

  • Candidates who are married and above the age of 25 are eligible to apply but they will not be allowed to live with their family during the training period.

  • AFCAT age limit for Flying Branch for both Males and Females is 20-24 years.

  • AFCAT age limit for Ground Duty for both Males and Females for Technical and non-technical is 20-26 years.

The Eligibility for AFCAT for Flying Branch in Air Force are mentioned below:

  • AFCAT Age Limit – Both Men and Women must be in between 20 to 24 years of age.

  • Gender – Both Men and Women.

  • AFCAT Educational Qualification – Minimum 50% marks in Maths and Physics at 10+2. Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized Board or University. Must have passed in Aeronautical Society of India or sections A & B of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University.

  • AFCAT Marital Status – Unmarried and below 24 years of age.

The eligibility criteria for Ground Duty Technical Branch are mentioned below:
